CONSTITUTIVE BACKGROUND
Reitia is a self-sufficient, non profit organization operating in the field of underwater archaeology. The mission is the survey, scientific study and evaluation of ancient cultures. Reitia directly promotes and is frequently invited to undertake underwater searches and recovery activities, by working together with national and foreign cultural centres under the supervision of local Authorities.

REITIA ACTIVITIES
It operates as a consultant of Municipalities and Universities, being accredited to the Soprintendenza Beni Archeologici del Veneto (the Archaeological Supervision authority of the Veneto Region). Moreover, Reitia is enrolled in the Veneto Regional Register of the Volunteering Organizations, Section Culture (ref. nr. TV 0521). Reitia's operations benefit from the experiences of underwater qualified divers, dive instructors (CMAS M1-M3) as well as underwater archaeology instructor and divers (CMAS). Since 2006 Reitia is also a CMAS Training Center for underwater archaeology instructors (Archaeology Instructor CMAS).
